Flax Seed! How to Prepare it as a Tasty Food!

Buy the flax seed at any health-food store. If it smells like old paint, discard it. Keep it in a cool place or refrigerate. Grind a fresh scoop of flax seed before consumption with a coffee grinder! spice mill.

Add a scoop of tahini (sesame butter). Mix with any fresh fruit, or fruit juice, or water to reach a liquid consistency. Soak a handful of dried Fruits, when fresh fruit is unavailable or scarce, or in winter colder climates. Use the soaked-fruit water in lieu of water or fresh fruit juice.

Add any preferred nuts or seeds, like sprouted sunflower or pumpkin seeds. This will supply you with the highest quality of Ill/C Ii protein and fatty acids available, and insure good mastication.

— Avoid fast-gulping of this vital food combination —

Remember that flax seed is a perishable seed, and will oxidize fast, and become rancid when the husk is broken. This is why we recommend you grind it prior to consumption. Always buy it as a seed, and if you have to grind it in larger quantities for logistic reasons,

FREEZE IT IMMEDIATELY! GRIND AND EAT IT FRESH!

Add flax seed to any other food, like vegetables and fruit salads. Never cook or heat. Sprinkle on any steamed vegetables, cereal or soups at the table. Mix with any edible spices: olive oil, tamari sauce, crushed garlic, and spread on whole pita bread or any other whole- grain breads (preferably sprouted breads). It is also good to spread on baked potatoes and cereals.

When preparing any cereal like brown or wild rice, buckwheat, millet, etc., spread on the flax seed and also some flax seed oil (only after the cereal is cool enough to eat). Use on beans, with seaweeds of any kind, etc.

Flax seed is an important food, even more so for people who abstain from animal proteins, vegetarian and the like. Make it an important part of your meal of each and every day.
