Promotes Healthy Cholesterol Levels

The ingredients in Cholestol have been proven by numerous clinical studies to lower cholesterol up to 25%.

  • Approximately 80% of total cholesterol is made by the liver.

The enzyme HMG-CoA reductase is used by the liver to produce cholesterol. Research shows the ingredients in Cholestol, Red Yeast Rice, Gugulipid and Inositol Hexaniacinate inhibits HMG_CoA reductase from producing cholesterol.

Cholestol should be considered as a dietary supplement by individuals with moderately elevated cholesterol and tri-glyceride levels that wish to maintain healthy cholesterol through nutrition, diet and exercise.

Results are best when combined with a healthy diet and exercise program.

Niacin is the only supplement that has been proven in tests as rigorous as those for a prescription drug to lower cholesterol.

A study published in the Annals of Internal Medicine comparing niacin with the cholesterol lowering drug Lovastatin on 136 patients with high LDL cholesterol over a 26 week period showed the following results:

  • LDL cholesterol reduction:   Naicin 23% -  Lovastatin 32%
  • HDL cholesterol increase:    Naicin 33% -  Lovastatin 7%
  • Lp(a) Lipoprotein reduction: Naicin 35% -  Lovastatin 0%

Inositol Hexaniacinate is a special form of niacin composed of six nicotinic acid molecules bound to and surrounding one molecule of inositol. It has been used in Europe for over 30 years to lower cholesterol and improve blood flow. Inositol Hexaniacinate exerts the benefits of niacin without flushing of other side effects.

There have been more than 34 clinical studies in China and the U.S. with red yeast rice on cholesterol and triglycerides.

One study involving 446 hyperlipidemic patients given red yeast rice for 8 weeks found total cholesterol decreased by 23%, triglycerides by 36%, LDL cholesterol by 28.5% and HDL cholesterol levels increased by 19.6%. (Current Therapeutic Research 1977).
